The 100th Anniversary Memorial Church was established by the Foundation for the 100th Anniversary of the Korean Church, which is the proprietor of the Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery. The Church was founded on July 10, 2005. The 100th Anniversary Memorial Church was established to prevent privatization of the Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery and the Korean Christian Martyrs’ Memorial Hall(Yongin), which are owned by the 100th Anniversary Foundation; to continue on the spiritual faith of the first century of Korean Christianity; and serve as the proper pathfinder of the second century of Korean Christianity. Moreover, the 100th Anniversary Memorial Church has been established by the 100th Anniversary Foundation, which is a coalition of numerous dominations, so it cannot fall under a certain denomination. It is essentially institutionally independent to maintain its self-identity.
