Opening of the Korean Christian Martyrs’ Memorial Hall (3-story building of 1110 m2)

An anonymous donor offered about 36 hectare of land in Yangji-myeon of Yongin City
in Gyeonggi Province.
After much deliberation, the decision to build the Korean Christian Martyrs’ Memorial Hall was reached.

This year marked the 100th year of Korean Christianity.
About 100 representatives from 20 church denominations and 26 Christian organizations
gathered in advance to establish the 100th Anniversary Association (the name was changed to
‘Foundation for the 100th Anniversary of the Korean Church’ in 2013).
